Restoring the old mill to working order is part of the vision of revitalising and once again managing the rural landscape around Corippo. The Foundation has replaced the mill wheel and gears, restored the mill building and surrounding area, and rebuilt the millrace. It was initially intended to operate the grindstones for demonstration and educational purposes only, but now they will be used to produce rye and chestnut flour. The restoration work was completed in autumn 2019 and cost CHF 450,000.
